The Shores of Maui has many outdoor features that are free to be used by all guests. There is a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a hot tub. There are also three barbeques, and there is a gazebo area with chairs, so you can barbeque your meals and then enjoy them poolside. Note however, that there is no glass allowed in the pool enclosure for safety reasons.

There is a beautiful view from the pool area of the ocean, and people often gather here at the end of the day to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

As an interesting fact, the pool is heated entirely by the sun. Water from the pool is pumped through copper pipes above the gazebo. The sun heats these pipes, and that heat is then transferred to the water.
